Collection bib number & start procedure
After your online registration, you will receive an e-ticket by email. With that e-ticket you can pick up your bib number from the registration desks either on the day of the event or the day before:
- Friday August 23: between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m.
- Saturday 24 August: between 6:30 a.m. and 10 a.m.
On Saturday, make sure to head to Houffalize on time so you have enough time to park your car and get ready for the start. If you are already staying in Houffalize we would recommend you to already collect your race number on Friday, to ensure a smooth start on Saturday morning.
Please see below an overview of the start times per distance and age category. There will be a start box for every age category. The starting shot for the first age category will sound at 8:30 a.m. followed by the other categories with an interval of a few minutes.
The start boxes will be designated on-site with UCI colors according to the category and distance. Check here for your category color and the location of your start box in Houffalize.
The top 25% of each age group qualify for the UCI Gravel World Cup, which will be held later in the year. This 25% is calculated on the actual number of starters, not on the number of riders entered. The results are ranked on the basis of the time ridden.
- 50 km: No qualification distance
- 68 km: Official qualifying distance for the UCI Gravel World Championship (men 60+ and women 50+)
- 110 km: Official qualifying distance for the UCI Gravel World Cup (men 19-59 and women 19-49)
If you wish to start at your own pace, you can start during the free start after the group starts. Everyone sets their own pace, goal, and intensity level.
You will receive an email containing all practical info a couple of days before the event. More information on the UCI Gravel World Series can be found at https://ucigravelworldseries.com/en/
